In Norway, the ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) system is more suitable for the following two types of areas:

‌Coastal and fjord areas‌

These areas are affected by the marine climate and have high humidity throughout the year (such as cities such as Oslo and Trondheim). The ERV system can 

reduce the difference in indoor and outdoor humidity through humidity exchange, avoid moisture problems, and keep the indoor air fresh at the same time

‌High-density buildings or places that require strict humidity control‌

ERV is widely used in commercial buildings (such as Oslo Airport) or energy-saving buildings because it can balance temperature and humidity and improve 

overall energy efficiency with energy-saving design

‌Areas where ERV is not suitable‌: Northern Norway and dry inland areas are more suitable for HRV systems. These areas are cold in winter and have low humidity. 

HRV can save energy and provide heating through heat exchange, and the cost is also lower
