Hospital fresh air technology refers to the technology of using natural or mechanical
methods to make outdoor air enter the room to eliminate indoor pollutants or residual
heat and humidity in hospital buildings, so as to create a healthy and comfortable indoor
environment in hospital buildings.
Modern general hospitals cater not only to the sick and the wounded, but also to healthy
people in specific physiological conditions (such as pregnant women, parturients,
newborns) and perfectly healthy people (such as those who come to the hospital for a me
dical examination or oral cleaning).
This makes the hospital become a complex collection, due to the differences in the
division of labor of different departments and departments within the hospital, from the
point of view of air purification can not be generalized.
Main problems in hospitals:
(1) At present, the hospital is overcrowded, and the design is based on the standards of
the 1990s or referring to foreign standards, which does not meet the current national
conditions of China;
(2) The fresh air volume is determined according to the comfort standard, without
considering the hospital's fresh air service object: susceptible population. Hospital
pollution sources are many and complex, closed space;
(3) Some functional areas are overcrowded, the ventilation system design is unreasonable,
the air flow organization is chaotic, and the fresh air volume is seriously insufficient;
(4) No fresh air system is installed

Hospital fresh air system standard basis:
1, "Heating, ventilation and air conditioning design code" GB50019-2003
2, "Ventilation and air conditioning engineering construction quality acceptance Code"
GB50243-2002
3, "Ventilation duct technical Regulations" JGJ141-2004
Hospital air purification focuses on achieving the following goals:
(1) Prevent cross-infection in hospitals, especially the spread of airborne diseases
2, ensure the respiratory health of medical staff - reduce the risk of occupational infection
3, protect vulnerable patients, vulnerable populations - such as burn patients, maternity,
newborns
4, to prevent the contamination of medical supplies - affecting the quality of medical care
and patient safety
5, ensure the reliability of the inspection process - reduce the possibility of contamination
of the test specimen

Ventilation system scheme:
1. Design air volume of toilets and washing rooms without natural ventilation: 10-15
times/hour (number of air changes);
2. For work rooms without natural ventilation conditions, the air volume should be
designed according to the number of personnel: 30m³/h for office. Person, operating
room 60m³/h person, ward 50m³/h person;
3. The fresh air inlet and exhaust outlet of the full heat exchange unit are provided
with an electric air valve, which is interlocked with the full heat exchange unit;
4, the bacteria room reserve biosafety cabinet exhaust duct, exhaust fan on the roof;
5. The exhaust pipe of the exhaust cabinet is reserved in the biochemical room,
and the exhaust fan is located on the roof;
The above design should avoid cross-pollution of different kinds of exhaust gases
and ensure that indoor air will not pollute the outdoor environment.
