Installation steps of ceiling-mounted fresh air ventilation
I. Preparation before installation
Model selection and positioning planning
Calculate the air volume demand according to the room area and the number of permanent residents (e.g., a 100㎡ room with a floor height of 2.8m needs to select a 300m³/h model)
Determine the installation location of the host (preferably choose the balcony, kitchen or bathroom top, avoid the gas exhaust port and bathroom heater area)
Design the pipeline path to ensure the shortest fresh air and exhaust paths, and reduce resistance factors such as elbows and diameter changes
Tool and material preparation
Prepare tools such as electric drills, booms, expansion bolts, metal detectors, and auxiliary materials such as hoses, rain caps, and sealing strips
II. Host installation
Ceiling removal and reinforcement (if necessary)
Remove the old ceiling and clean up the garbage, use light steel keels to reinforce the side hangings, reserve air conditioning outlets and inspection Repair mouth
Host fixation
Use a hanging rod to fix the host horizontally in the ceiling mezzanine, leaving a 1-2cm gap with the ceiling to ensure that the inspection port (≥450mm) can be opened normally
Use shock absorbers or rubber pads to reduce vibration noise during operation
III. Pipe and air outlet installation
Drilling holes and pipe laying
Use metal detectors to avoid beam reinforcement, and the hole diameter is ≤110mm. It is preferred to go around the beam or use a beam crosser
The main pipeline uses PVC or galvanized air ducts, and the branch pipes and host connections use hoses. 45° elbows or water-following tees are used at the corners to reduce wind resistance
Air outlet installation
The distance between the fresh air outlet and the exhaust outlet is ≥1 meter. The fresh air outlet is located on the upwind side and lower than the exhaust outlet to avoid air flow short circuit
Install rain caps and sealing strips to prevent rainwater backflow and air leakage38.
IV. Electrical connection and debugging
Power supply and control panel
Wire by professionals, set up a separate air switch for the fresh air system, and keep the control panel away from humid areas
Function debugging
Test the main machine running status, check whether the air volume (main pipe wind speed 6m/s, branch pipe 4m/s, outlet 2m/s) meets the standard
Verify whether the heat exchange, filtration system and intelligent control functions are normal
V. Post-installation protection and acceptance Dust prevention and finishing
Seal and protect the fresh air outlet and pipeline to avoid decoration dust pollution
Restore the ceiling and complete the surface treatment (scraping, painting, etc.)
Acceptance standard
Check the main machine running noise (≤45dB), air volume compliance rate and sealing 3 Ensure that the slope of the condensate pipe is ≥5‰ and set a water seal to prevent water leakage
Precautions
Safety regulations : Wear a safety rope when working at high altitudes, and non-professionals are prohibited from operating the electrical part
Maintenance tips : Clean the filter regularly (3-6 months/time), check the sealing of the pipeline
The above steps can ensure the efficient operation of the ceiling-mounted fresh air fan, while taking into account safety and long-term stability
